Good morning from Marrakech! Being back in this absolutely dream of a place feels amazing. How much I have missed these slow mornings eating traditional bread and pancakes, drinking coffee, orange juice and tea and after that just chilling on the rooftop reading or strolling around in the narrow streets of Medina. So relaxing and so so needed.
Yesterday morning we woke up a bit earlier, got ourselves ready and went to see the Saadian Tombs when they opened. It is a beautifully decorated burial place of the past emperors of the Saadian dynasty and their families, full of blooming trees, beautiful tiles and marble.
After the tombs we wandered around the Kasbah quarter trying to find the El Badii Palace, the ruins of an old and previously very beautiful palace built by a past emperor. I love the history and culture here.
Now: chilling for a while before heading out to the Mellah area to wander around the chic artisan souks and shops before heading for a lunch to this vegetarian restaurant we have a reservation at.
Have a lovely day <3
